Pastor Kelly Booker

Dr. Kelly BookerReverend Kelly Raphael Booker was born June 14, 1963 to the union of Pastor Earl E. and Opal Booker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Douglass High School in 1981 and in that same year accepted the call to preach the word of God.

Knowing this was his lifelong endeavor; in 1981 Pastor Booker began his educational journey at Bishop College of Dallas, Texas. In May 1985, he received a Bachelors Degree with a major in Religion and a minor in Christian Education.

In the fall of 1999, Pastor Booker resumed his educational journey by enrolling in Southwestern Theological Seminary of Ft. Worth, Texas. The demands of a growing church, he had to place the furtherance of his education on hold.

In the fall of 2006, Pastor Booker resumed his educational journey by enrolling in The University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma to pursue his Master Degree in Administration Leadership.

Under his leadership, New Union has added a Christian Education facility with Administrative offices which is Phase I of a three phase building project. This was completed in the spring of 2001. New Union has began working on Phase II and Phase III, which consist of a 1000 seat sanctuary and gymnasium.

Pastor Booker is an alumnus of Bishop College, a member of Baptist Ministers Association of OKC, National Baptist USA, State and Local associations, and currently named Guest Lecturer for the Baptist State Congress of Christian Education.

Married to Opal Shannon, he is the father to Tracy, Joshua, Kathryn and Kayla.
